Overview

The wheezy child is a frequently encountered patient with specific diagnostic and management challenges.  In this plenary, using a series of cases, we will discusss and highlight important elements to optimal management of these patients throughout the stages of infancy, childhood and adolescence.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the differential diagnosis of wheezing in children
  • Define the phenotypes of wheezing
  • Discuss management of wheezing in children
  • Make a prognosis
