Overview

HIves are a common presentation in children of all ages.  The differential diagnosis can be frightening to parents-especially after DR GOOGLE gets involved.

How do we identify when to "worry" and how bets to manage these episodes in children?

Objectives

•Understand the approach to hives in children

•Differentiate idiopathic urticaria and physical urticaria

•Review the approaches to the management of acute and chronic urticaria and angioedema in children.
