Anjana Srinivasan is a family physician and lactation consultation (IBCLC). She studied medicine at McGill University and did her family medicine residency and fellowship in Maternal Child Health at the Herzl Family Practice Centre, Jewish General Hospital. She has been the medical co-director of the Herzl-Goldfarb Breastfeeding Clinic since 2008, a referral center which sees complex breastfeeding cases from Montreal and neighboring areas. As part of her work in the breastfeeding clinic, Anjana has conducted and published research studies on ankyloglossia or tongue-ties, as well as breastfeeding education. She has developed and presented talks on breastfeeding to varied audiences over the years, including medical students, residents, practicing physicians, nurses, midwives and lactation consultants. She also has a busy family practice concentrating on maternal child health.
