Dr. Jean Zigby is a Family Physician and Palliative Care Specialist in Montreal, Faculty Lecturer at McGill University Faculty of Medicine and works mainly with newly immigrated and refugee populations. He practices and teaches hospital, clinical, rural and home care medicine and has been exploring the application of Ecosystem Health principles for the last decade. He is the President of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and Co-Founder of the not-for-profit organization, Synergie Santé Environnement, which aims to help health care centers improve their environmental sustainability. In 2006 he received a Canadian Environmental Award for his work in health care sustainability. He currently lives in Montreal with his wife and two children
