I have been a member of the JGH Gastroenterology Division since 1998. My main interests are in interventional endoscopy. Interventional endoscopy is about the use of advanced endoscopic techniques in the treatment of gastrointestinal disease. I introduced direct cholangioscopy to ERCP that allows direct visualization of the bile duct for management of complex stone disease or directed biopsies of tumors. I also trained in endoscopic mucosal resection of large colon polyps. I perform video capsule endoscopy that allowed direct visualization of the small intestine. I still have a wide range of other interests including a large focus on IBD and IBS. For the past 7 years, I have been running a Gastroenterology nursing education program at both the Jewish General Hospital and more recently the MUHC. I recently created a web site for my patients to access information that may be important to them.
