Overview

This session will review the comprehensive approach to management of Inflammatory Arthritis(IA), beyond pharmacotherapy.

We will consider multimorbidites associated with IA, and raise awareness that all aspects of IA therapy need to be considered to improve outcomes and quality of life for these patients. This plenary will highlight the need for collaborative care between rheumatologists and primary care physicians

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Better understand the role of treating the whole patient in inflammatory arthritis (IA), beyond traditional pharmacotherapy, to improve outcomes
  • Raise awareness and improve skills in considering multimorbities in the comprehensive treatment plan of IA patients
  • Partner with primary care MD’ s to improve care of these patients
